Obstetrics & Gynecology Physician

Dates of Coverage:

• 1 Weekend per month, August December 2026
• 2-3 weekends per month ongoing.

• Friday (7a) - Monday (7a) - 24 hours - in house - laborist
• Practice Setting: Hospital Call 90 % Labor and Delivery
• Coverage needs: 2 providers to help support at least once a month
• Call Schedule: Two weekends a month Friday, Saturday and Sunday per above.
• Call Ratio: 1:4 currently
• Average Number of Scheduled Patients Per Day: Varies
• Number of Physicians in Practice: Four
• No Other OB/GYNs Provide Coverage During Locums Coverage Dates
• Onsite Lab & Ultrasound: Yes
• Describe Support Staff: L&D Nurses and Midwives (not a guarantee the midwife will be onsite for the full 24 hours of shift).
• What Percentage of Practice is Low Risk Pregnancy: 60%
• What Percentage of Practice is High Risk Pregnancy: 40%
• What Percentage of Practice is GYN: 60%
• Average Number of GYN Surgeries Per Day: Five
• What Percentage of Patients are C-Section: One

Required Obstetrics Procedures:

• Low Risk Pregnancy (i.e. History of Twins, Toxemia, Pyelonephritis, etc.), High Risk Pregnancy (i.e. with Toxemia, Diabetes, Class II or Higher Cardiacs, Chronic Lung Problems, Chronic Renal Disease, etc.), FHR Interpretation NST/CST/FSE, OB ultrasounds Performance of Interpretation, OB ultrasounds Performance of Level I/Screening (Viability)

Labor and Delivery Required Procedures:

• Routine Delivery Vaginal, Low Forceps, Decision-Making for C-Section, Complicated Delivery C-Section, Breech, Multiple Births, Abruptions, etc, VBAC s, Repair of 3rd & 4th Degree Lacerations

Gynecology Required Procedures:

• Surgical Gynecology Open, Laparoscopic Diagnostic/Minor Only-Tubal Ligation, LOA s, Chromal Tubation, Operative/Major (Includes Diagnostic) Ectopic Pregnancy, Ovary Removal, Cystectomy, Extensive LOA s

Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: 30-90 days
Submission Requirements:

• Board Certified - Required
• OH license (willing to accept providers needing to obtain State License) - Highly Preferred - must be OH licenses for June/July start.
• BLS & ACLS - Required
• Active DEA - Required
• Clean Malpractice - Required Emergency temps can be obtained
• A Self-Query NPDB report is mandatory at the time of presentation. The Self-Query NPDB report must be dated within 30 days of the presentation date. - Required
