Financial Audit Response Analyst / Internal Auditor Arlington, VA XLA is looking for an Administrative Professional – Mid to support a federal agency in Arlington, VA. This position requires the candidate to be eligible to obtain a U.S. secret security clearance and is an onsite position Monday-Friday . Candidates must be in the Arlington/Washington D.C. area. General Experience: Required knowledge of grammar, punctuation, and spelling; and the ability to use reference guides and equipment manuals. Must possess knowledge of specialized, technical, or scientific terminology and be familiar with office terminology and practices. Functional Responsibilities: Performs duties of a moderate to highly skilled nature, to include preparation of reports, maintenance of computer and paper files, and responding to office inquiries. Develops complex, lengthy technical reports that include tables, graphs, charts, or multiple columns. Uses different word processing packages and many different style macros or special command functions. Independently completes assignments and resolves problems. May assign work to junior staff High school diploma. Requires 5-10 years’ experience and both a comprehensive knowledge of word processing software applications and office practices and a high degree of skill in applying software functions to develop complex and detailed documents. The Administrative Professional – Mid competencies will encompass very high-level skills in the following areas: Organization; time management; ability to multitask effectively; attention to detail, computer literacy; and well-developed interpersonal skills. Responsibilities and attributes include: Analyze and process financial and accounting reports, deliverables, accounts payable, cost accruals, and disbursements. Apply financial reporting and accounting management as related to the federal government accounting standards. Develop and maintain spreadsheets of obligations, accounts payable, cost accruals, and disbursements. Assist with financial and accounting audits of complex contracts. Analyze and prepare financial and accounting program activities. Develop operating procedures, directives, and/or guides to convey information relating to financial or accounting processes. Conduct studies improving accumulation, processes, and reporting of financial and accounting data to include development of complex funding documents and ongoing contract administration. Process funding requests into the DEA’s financial management system for action. Perform complex fund control activities. Perform in a respectful and professional manner with employees. Use analytical techniques and critical thinking to prepare delivery status of accounting, data or financial deliverables; identifies tracks and resolves data discrepancies or recommends solutions; attends meetings, working groups, and briefings. Process invoices after careful analysis of financial and accounting information. Track, organize, record, modify, identify, validate, analyze, and report financial and accounting data relating to procurement of commodities or services; reimbursable agreements; intra-agency agreements; account deliverable and receivables.
