Virtualization Systems Engineer

Salary: $100,000 - 140,000 per year Requirements:

• We need a High School Diploma or GED, along with 7+ years of progressively responsible experience in information systems or systems engineering.
• We are looking for substantial hands-on experience building, deploying, and upgrading VMware vSphere, including vCenter Server and ESXi hosts.
• We require demonstrated expertise in engineering and managing virtual desktop infrastructure with Omnissa Horizon View Server and desktop pools.
• We need experience installing, configuring, and supporting VMware Unified Access Gateway for secure authentication.
• We require experience inventorying, patching, upgrading, and troubleshooting physical hardware, especially HPE ProLiant and Synergy Servers.
• We need experience creating and maintaining detailed infrastructure documentation for virtual machines, vMotion, and distributed workloads.
• We require an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
• We need the ability to remain stationary for part of the workday and occasionally move around the office to access equipment and server hardware.
• We require frequent communication with coworkers, management, and customers, including the ability to deliver technical presentations and exchange accurate information.

• We will build, configure, monitor, upgrade, and troubleshoot VMware vCenter and ESXi 8.0 environments.
• We will create, deploy, configure, and maintain virtual desktop pools in Omnissa Horizon View Server 8.0.
• We will monitor desktop health, resolve pool-related issues, and manage the integration between Horizon View Server and vCenter Server.
• We will deploy, configure, and troubleshoot VMware Unified Access Gateway in support of Horizon View Server.
• We will load hypervisor software, configure BIOS settings, patch, upgrade, and troubleshoot HPE hardware including ProLiant DL360 G10, G11, and Synergy Servers.
• We will administer and engineer Microsoft Windows Server 2019 and 2022, as well as Windows 11, on virtual and physical systems.
• We will maintain system baselines and hardware configuration records using HPE iLO for out-of-band management of physical servers.
