As a General Manager, you will lead and inspire your team to foster a positive environment, boost team spirit, and motivate everyone to pursue excellence. You will oversee the daily operations of the restaurant, focusing on staffing, team development, sales enhancement, cost control, and ensuring that operational standards are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities

The individual in this role will engage in the following activities:

• Fulfill all training requirements, including:
• General Manager Development Program and Operations Excellence Capstone Course
• Food Safety and Manager Certifications
• Any additional training mandated by the organization
• Ensure exceptional experiences for guests at the restaurant
• Maintain optimal staffing levels through sourcing, interviewing, hiring, and recognizing top talent
• Provide team members with comprehensive training, ongoing mentorship, and development while holding them accountable for their performance
• Create effective work schedules in a timely manner to drive sales and manage labor costs
• Plan and assign shift responsibilities, clearly communicating expectations and making adjustments as necessary
• Uphold service, product quality, and cleanliness standards consistently
• Foster a positive culture and high team morale by leading by example and providing guidance
• Manage profitability by driving sales, controlling expenses, developing team members, and ensuring operational standards are met
• Work to enhance sales by building community relationships and delivering outstanding products and services
• Control costs and minimize losses while striving for continuous improvement in operational standards and compliance with all relevant guidelines and policies
• Conduct performance evaluations for crew members and assist with evaluations for managers
• Ensure adherence to all applicable laws, guidelines, policies, and procedures
• Utilize management tools and maintain organized, accurate, and up-to-date records
• Review performance metrics daily and develop action plans to enhance systems and processes for improved profitability, sales, and guest satisfaction
• Address and report guest and team member complaints or concerns in a timely and respectful manner
• Maintain a flexible attitude that allows for performance beyond the scope of this job description
• Ensure the team adheres to safety protocols and guidelines
• Escalate issues to your supervisor when necessary
• Perform any other duties essential for the smooth operation of the restaurant

Qualifications

The following criteria must be met to qualify for this position:

• Must be at least 21 years old
• Must possess a valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation
• Availability to work a minimum of 5 days and 48 hours per week
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Successful completion of a background check and motor vehicle report
• Demonstrated leadership skills, organizational abilities, and capacity to collaborate effectively with others
• Minimum educational requirement: High school diploma or equivalent; some college education preferred
• 3-5 years of management experience required
• Experience in restaurant management is preferred

• Ability to sit, stand, and walk continuously
• Occasional bending, stooping, crouching, or climbing, including the use of ladders
• Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying up to 50 pounds, including overhead lifting
• Continuous use of hands and wrists for grasping and fine motor skills
• Effective communication through speaking, reading, and writing
• Ability to maintain effective audio-visual perception to observe and respond to the environment
• Work in conditions with varying temperatures and potential exposure to food allergens
• Safely operate restaurant equipment, including knives, fryers, and other potentially hazardous tools
