Experience Required

24 months of related experience as a Materials Planner/Customer Service or Materials Engineer. The related experience must include using knowledge of ERP systems for automotive seating components manufacturing; review materials inventory of finished seating products for quality and conformance; and coordinate and formulate all raw materials and purchased parts needed for production.

Job Description

Materials Planner wanted in Shepherdsville, Kentucky to use knowledge of ERP systems for automotive seating components manufacturing; review materials inventory of finished seating products for quality and conformance; coordinate and formulate all raw materials and purchased parts needed for production. Assist the Operations Manager in attaining necessary materials to support defined schedules. Schedule and summarize all outgoing production and assist the Materials Manager in shipping defined customer orders. Coordinate and formulate all raw materials and purchase parts needed for production. Schedule and direct orders concerning the size and quantities of material needed for plant operations. Control and organize material substitutions, storage and handling, and maintenance requirements for scheduled deliveries. Evaluate and maintain inventories of stock to adequately support scheduled production and administer and direct timely transportation of completed product. Schedule and verify all customer orders received by phone or written request. Coordinate with plant management and customers to deliver scheduled parts on time. Devise all schedules, as necessary, to efficiently process orders in a timely fashion. Load EDI releases from customers, develop master schedules, run MRP, create vendor releases, transmit vendor releases via EDI and fax, and help update and maintain part numbers and file maintenance fields. Perform customer service duties as required. Maintain an organized work environment and participate in continuous improvement projects. Administer and ensure compliance with the Quality, Environmental, and Material Management System requirements as outlined in the policy manuals. Follow all company policies and report all unsafe and unhealthy conditions, and report all accidents and injuries in a timely manner. Comply with all Health, Safety and Environmental standards in accordance with the Magna Employee Charter and the Occupational Health & Safety Act. Perform other duties as required.
