Waev Inc. is seeking an Engineering Quality & Data Coordinator to safeguard the quality, accuracy, and integrity of engineering data. This position serves as a key gatekeeper for engineering drawings, documentation, revisions, and product data, ensuring information is complete, controlled, and ready for release.

The Engineering Quality & Data Coordinator reviews CAD drawings, models, and engineering documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with established drafting and documentation standards. This role also administers PDM/PLM systems to maintain accurate part data, revisions, engineering changes, and release records.

Working closely with designers and engineers, the Coordinator helps resolve documentation issues, maintains clean and consistent engineering records, and supports effective engineering change and release processes in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Engineering Drawing & Documentation Quality

• Review engineering drawings and CAD models for completeness, accuracy, and conformance to established drafting standards.

• Verify title blocks, naming conventions, dimensions, and other required drawing information before release.

• Identify documentation discrepancies and coordinate corrections with designers and engineers.

• Ensure engineering records are complete and release-ready.

PDM/PLM & Data Administration

• Administer PDM/PLM systems, including data storage, revision control, and document release activities.

• Maintain accurate part numbers, Bills of Materials (BOMs), metadata, and engineering document records.

• Process and support Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).

• Maintain accurate revision histories and ensure current documentation is available to appropriate users.

• Support check-in/check-out processes and troubleshoot related data-management issues.

Engineering Change & Release Control

• Coordinate engineering documentation through established change and release workflows.

• Verify required information and approvals are complete before engineering data is released.

• Support revision control and configuration accuracy throughout the product lifecycle.

• Assist Engineering with resolving release-related issues and maintaining documentation traceability.

Standards & Process Support

• Support and enforce engineering data-management workflows, permissions, and best practices.

• Document and maintain engineering data standards, procedures, and templates.

• Identify opportunities to improve drawing quality and engineering data-management processes.

• Partner with Engineering and other departments to maintain consistent documentation practices.

Required

• Associate or bachelor's degree in Engineering, Drafting & Design, or a related technical field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.

• 1 3 years of experience in engineering data, drafting, document control, engineering coordination, or a related technical role; relevant internships may count.

• Ability to read and understand mechanical engineering drawings.

• Familiarity with dimensioning and engineering drawing standards.

• Experience managing technical documentation, records, or engineering data.

• Strong computer proficiency and ability to work within structured data-management systems.

Preferred

• Experience with Autodesk Inventor .

• Experience with Autodesk Vault and/or Fusion Manage (PDM/PLM) .

• Experience with Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).

• Familiarity with engineering release and revision-control processes.

• Experience working with Bills of Materials (BOMs), part numbers, and engineering metadata.

• Manufacturing environment experience.

• Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer.

• Frequent computer use and review of engineering drawings and technical documentation.

• Occasional walking throughout office, manufacturing, and warehouse areas.

• Ability to perform repetitive computer and document-management activities.

• On-site position in Anaheim, California.

• Full-time schedule with a 7:00 AM start time .

• Fast-paced office, manufacturing, and warehouse environment.

• Temp-to-hire opportunity.

• Position will be hourly during the temporary period with conversion to a salaried position upon direct hire.
