Start the new year with a new career move! MMI is looking for a reliable Process Technician for our facility in Warren, C  SHIFT who is ready to play a key role in supporting our production team by ensuring our molding processes run smoothly, safely, and efficiently.

In this hands-on position, you'll work closely with Shift Supervisors, Operators, and Engineers to set up and optimize molds, troubleshoot equipment, and maintain tooling. Your expertise will directly impact product quality, efficiency, and the overall success of our manufacturing operations.

• Understands, follows and enforces all established safety, health, quality and Company policies, procedures and recognized practices

  Work closely with the Production Shift Supervisors to evaluate, train, and develop the Operators in the operation of the molding machines.
  •
  Establish standards and develop process sheets for mold tooling.
  •
  Configure and setup production molds while processing new and existing production runs.
  •
  Monitor and control product weight, color, and thickness during set-up
  •
  Complete mold changes, including both new and existing molds, participate in resin trials, and equipment installation, etc., as required.
  •
  Complete setups in accordance with production schedules including the setup of the injection press and any auxiliary equipment.
  •
  Evaluate mold change and setup time reductions, while maintaining part quality.
  •
  Optimize cycle time and perform set-up, start-up and change overs.
  •
  Identifies and corrects problems: applies scientific knowledge and experience in making adjustments and trains others in areas of expertise; documents changes; addresses questionable parts; and monitors and focuses on scrap reduction.

• 3 or more years "hands-on" processing and troubleshooting injection molding equipment.
• Mold design best practices experience is required.
• Large part injection molding is ideal experience
• Light maintenance experience is needed.
• Ability to maintain regular, predictable, and punctual attendance.
• Computer usage and typing skills are essential.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, including the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders up to 15 feet in height, and walk and stand for periods ranging from 6 to 12 or more hours per day.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while meeting production, quality, and safety requirements.

• Working in office and manufacturing environment

• Standing in excess of 7.5 hours per day in an environment that may be hot, noisy, and dirty.
• Serve as a technical expert and mentor to Operators and team members.
