XTEL is launching X-Steps: a dedicated global Business Consulting Department that embeds business expertise directly into every client engagement alongside our technical implementation teams. Inspired by the proven StepUp methodology, X-Steps focuses exclusively on commercial value creation. We bridge the gap between technical software implementations and real commercial impact for top-tier CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) clients (such as Barilla, Nomad Foods, Agthia, and Mondelēz).

Traditionally specialized in Revenue Growth Management (RGM) analytics, X-Steps is expanding its consulting expertise to fully encompass Trade Promotion Management (TPM). We empower Sales, Trade Marketing, Category Management, and RGM teams to transform software deployment into measurable commercial growth, ROI, and optimized promotional strategies

Position Overview

We are looking for a driven, commercially minded Senior X-Steps Consultant (Strategic Advisory) to join our fast-growing X-Steps team. As an X-Steps consultant, you are the face of value and project delivery towards the client. You work in a unique twin-stream model alongside our technical Data & Solution Implementation Leads, translating complex CPG business challenges into powerful platform configurations and ensuring sustainable value extraction.

Key Responsibilities

• Commercial Need Discovery & Translation: Understand broad CPG business goals in RGM and TPM (pricing, trade terms, promotional ROI, assortment) and translate them into specific platform requirements.

• Market Connect & Kickoff: Run parallel market connect sessions during project kick-offs, grounding software setup in the client’s actual commercial strategy and KPIs.

• Internal Gatekeeper & Sparring Partner: Act as the internal client for the technical implementation team, challenging deployments to ensure they are pragmatic, relevant, and aligned with user needs.

• Super-User Enablement & Training: Deliver hands-on training anchored in the client's own market data, building a library of client-specific "business recipes" to ensure end-users can independently run and interpret analytical use cases.

• Value Extraction & Sprints: Facilitate commercial business sprints, guiding clients from their first analytical run to full profitable revenue growth and long-term value-realization glide paths.

Qualifications

• Experience: 6+ years of relevant experience in management consulting (Tier-1/2 or boutique) or within a commercial/RGM/TPM leadership function inside the CPG industry.

• Role Focus: Leading complex, high-value client engagements (Full Service & Strategic Partnerships), managing client C-level relationships, structuring 12–24 month value-extraction glide paths, and coaching junior team members.

• Strong strategic thinker with deep domain expertise in CPG commercial analytics, pricing architecture, and trade promotion optimization (RGM & TPM).

• Proven ability to drive business transformation, manage senior stakeholder expectations, and quantify 'size of prize' opportunities.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and client-facing facilitation skills.
