EDI Specialist

EDI Specialist will play a key role in maintaining seamless digital communication between Labcorp and its partners—ensuring accurate data flow, compliant systems, and exceptional support for both clients and vendors. Responsibilities Provide troubleshooting and assistance to clients and vendors, focusing on single and small practices or EMRs (Electronic Medical Records). Interpret and analyze HL7 order and result messages to develop recommendations and solutions. Manage and drive multiple projects to completion across all phases within corporate‑specified deadlines. Communicate with clients and vendors via phone and email. Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients to ensure their support and continued business. Deliver exceptional customer service and follow‑up to clients and vendors. Collaborate with various functional groups, including sales, lab operations, and third‑party vendors, to resolve client issues promptly. Analyze client ordering patterns to identify issues early and enhance electronic ordering and resulting processes. Minimum Qualifications Associate’s degree. 2 years or more of experience in healthcare EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) or project management EDI with a focus on single and small practices or EMRs. 2 years or more of experience working within healthcare EDI workflows and protocols including Data Preparation, Transmission and Translation & Integration. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree. 2 or more years of interfacing with medical practices with laboratory services EDI. 2 or more years of Labcorp experience working with EDI. 5 years or more of lab experience. Additional Job Standards Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting abilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Proven ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively with diverse functional groups. Applicants who live within 35 miles of either Burlington, NC or Durham, NC location will follow a hybrid schedule: a minimum of three office days per week at an assigned location, either Burlington or Durham.
