Lab Technician

Job Title: Lab Technician Location: Conshohocken, PA Type: 6 Month Contract to hire Schedule: Monday - Friday 7AM-3:30PM Pay Rate: $22/hour Overview: Specialty Chemical Company is seeking a Lab Tech to join their team in support of material development and testing. Our client is open to recent graduates looking to gain industry experience! Responsibilities: Perform catalytic testing and characterization of zeolites and other materials, such as temperature programmed techniques (adsorption, desorption and reduction), selective catalytic reduction, and other catalytic reactions for sustainability applications. Monitor chemical processes and characterize materials. Set up, operate, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment. Troubleshoot problems and malfunctioning instruments. Prepare chemical solutions. Conduct, compile, and interpret results of chemical and physical experiments. Record data and observations in laboratory notebook and laboratory information system. Contribute to the overall site safety through established safety procedures, programs, and policies. Must be able to manage time effectively within a changing environment. Determine acceptability of results and propose relevant conclusions on all work. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Requirements: Associate's Degree in Chemistry or related field. Knowledge in general laboratory (chemical preferred) practice required. Ability to follow written procedures and improve upon existing procedures required. Ability to conduct experiments with high accuracy and attention to detail required. Proficiency in Excel and Word. Ability to operate all equipment safely following SOPs/JSAs. Ability to conduct operations promoting safety, quality, and environmental compliance.
