As part of our produce team, you’ll make important decisions about the quality of the produce that members and their families eat by ensuring availability, cleanliness and freshness. What you’ll do Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of the products; collaborate with cross‑functional teams and help educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources; communicate effectively and develop interpersonal skills for providing customer service; and be flexible to the needs of the business by tracking goods, maintaining in‑stock levels, and controlling shrinkage in a timely manner. Understand the processes and specifications related to the quality of various types of produce merchandise (taste, preparation method, usage, seasonality); prepare products according to established standards; maintain product safety and follow sanitation guidelines; and adhere to applicable laws, regulations, and company policies related to produce quality. Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement; use handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, training, and product quality with the member in mind; adapt to new tools and encourage others to use them. Drive the performance of the area; use digital tools; apply perpetual inventory management techniques to stock and rotate department products; ensure quality and date control standards; eliminate waste; guide peers and attend to customer needs. Be an advocate for the department and the club by valuing the member’s experience, modeling high‑quality service and products, executing the basics at the highest level of quality, and exhibiting energy, commitment, and passion for the work. Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans; support the Open Door Policy; and apply these in executing business processes and practices. Complete work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, co‑workers, customers, and other business partners; identify priorities, deadlines, and expectations; communicate progress; recommend improvement opportunities; and adapt and learn from change, difficulties, and feedback. Responsibilities Maintain a positive attitude by smiling, greeting, and thanking members. Provide exceptional customer service to members across the club, answering any questions they may have. Maintain a clean, neat, and member‑ready area. Receive & stock merchandise in an organized manner. Maintain inventory so there is no out‑of‑stock or over‑stock products. Minimum Qualifications I acknowledge that the position for which I am applying requires me to successfully complete all job‑required trainings and assessments within a prescribed time period if I receive the position. The hourly wage range for this position is $19.00 to $27.00.* The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances, based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed, and multiple premiums may apply if criteria are met.
