The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert legal advice and practical solutions in pre‑litigation and litigation matters. This includes managing litigation assigned to outside counsel, reviewing and editing legal documents, and overseeing the enforcement of intellectual property rights. The role also involves supporting the legal team with various tasks, such as providing input on draft agreements and working with brokers to maintain and procure insurance coverage. Applicants must have a JD from an accredited law school, be a current member of the California Bar, and have 7 to 10 years of litigation experience, particularly in complex contractual and intellectual property disputes. The ideal candidate will have a background in studio experience, exceptional legal research and writing skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with senior management. The role requires excellent organizational and time management skills, as well as the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. The VP will be expected to be a strategic thinker, capable of managing litigation and providing support across various legal functions.
