450 Lobdell Blvd, Baton Rouge, LA 70806, USA Job Description The Teller is responsible for greeting all members when they enter the branch and assisting them with their financial needs. This front‑line role delivers outstanding service through in‑person interactions, phone, text, and digital messaging. The position performs a variety of financial transactions and supports both lobby and teller operations. Our ideal candidate has a positive, can‑do attitude, strong cash‑handling and member service skills, and is comfortable in a sales environment with the ability to meet monthly sales goals. Responsibilities Serve as a member experience concierge for members entering the branch and coordinate lobby flow. Perform routine member transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, cash advances, loan payments, transfers, and check cashing. Assist members in the opening and closing of accounts. Balance the teller drawer at the end of the day. Support Interactive Teller Machine (ITM) operations and serve as a knowledgeable resource. Promote and cross‑sell Pelican products and services to members to fit their financial needs. Perform other job‑related duties as assigned. Skills and Qualifications Minimum of 1 year of continuous job experience. A high school diploma or equivalent. Excellent oral, written, and telephone communication skills. Strong problem‑solving and member service skills. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
