Full-Time Clinical Laboratory Scientist
Full-Time Clinical Laboratory Scientist role in a Northern California community. Performs complex laboratory testing to support patient diagnosis, treatment, and prevention. Requires a California CLS license and strong technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform moderate and high-complexity laboratory testing in hematology, chemistry, microbiology, immunology, and blood bank
- Analyze, interpret, and report accurate laboratory results in a timely manner
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instrumentation and equipment
- Perform quality control procedures and ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP, and state regulations
- Troubleshoot equipment and testing inconsistencies
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare staff regarding lab results
- Maintain proper documentation and laboratory records
- Adhere to safety protocols and infection control standards
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related life science field
- Active California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) License required
- Strong knowledge of laboratory information systems (LIS)
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Preferred Skills:
- ASCP (MLS) Certification preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical laboratory experience preferred
