License: RN License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC Must-Have: - Previous charge experience is preferred. - Experience with patient ratios and charting systems, specifically Epic. - Trauma Level II experience is required. - Travel experience is required. Description: This position involves working evening 12-hour shifts, from 11:00 to 23:30 or 15:00 to 03:30, including weekends and holidays. The Emergency Department provides comprehensive emergency care to a large number of patients annually. This department serves as a critical entry point to the health system. It works to rapidly stabilize patients for admission or transfer across the broader continuum of care. The department is designated as a Level IV Trauma Center and an Acute Stroke Ready Center. It is recognized as a Pediatric Ready Emergency Department. These designations ensure timely, evidence-based care for patients across the lifespan and for a wide range of clinical presentations. The facility includes numerous exam rooms and vertical care spaces, with the ability to flex additional exam rooms to meet surges in demand. The team coordinates closely with ground ambulance services to provide seamless care for critically ill and injured patients. In addition, the nursing and tech staff serve as the rapid response team for the facility. This role requires the ability to float as needed to different areas within the facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong skill set in multiple critical care scenarios, including management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction or failure. Candidates will be required to demonstrate proficiency through pass/fail testing with strict passing criteria on telemetry exams. The role requires the identification of lethal rhythms with a passing score of not less than 80%. Candidates will have two attempts to pass. If a candidate fails the second attempt, they must complete a cardiac interpretation review course before a third attempt is assigned. Failure to pass after three attempts will result in cancellation of the assignment. This position requires skills in emergency care across various patient conditions and ages, including neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics.
