Winston-Salem, NC Pay From: $38 Per Hour
MUST: The Pre-Op/PACU Registered Nurse should have the following:
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina
- Ambulatory experience
- Pre-Op and or PACU experience or ICU experience will be considered depending on experience
- Comfortable working pre-op and PACU
- Comfortable starting and administering IV's
- Experience updating patients charts using EMR
- Strong attention to detail and proactive
- Providing patient education
- Monitoring and assessing patients
- Discussing pre-op instructions, procedures and medical histories
- BLS and ACLS Certified
- Initiate and administer IV's
- Review paperwork with patients
- Monitor patients post operatively
- Assess patients
- Report adverse reactions to medications or treatments
- Provide patient education on surgical procedures
- Record patients' medical information and vital signs
- Provide pre- and post-surgery care to patients
- Assist providers as needed
- Prepare equipment and assist physician during examination and treatment of patients
DUTIES: The Pre-Op /PACU Registered Nurse's duties include but are not limited to the following:
