Fellowship Opportunity in Facial Plastic Surgery & Advanced Rhinologic Surgery
Our organization is currently looking for a fellow to join the Department of Otolaryngology/Head & Neck Surgery for a one-year fellowship program specializing in Facial Plastic Surgery and Advanced Rhinologic Surgery. This position is part of a dynamic academic referral practice located in Southern California, with a strong emphasis on nasal surgery. We highly encourage participation in mission electives.
About the DepartmentOur department is staffed by four full-time, fellowship-trained surgeons specializing in Rhinology and Skull Base Surgery, alongside three facial plastic surgeons. The fellowship will provide extensive experience in nasal surgery, including high-volume endoscopic sinus procedures, anterior skull base surgeries, and selected reconstructive rhinoplasty cases. Training will also encompass nasal and facial trauma, ensuring a comprehensive educational experience. While there is an opportunity for broad training in both Facial Plastic Surgery and Advanced Rhinology, the focus will be on reconstructive cases over cosmetic and clinic-based procedures.
Fellow Responsibilities- Assist faculty with surgical cases at our institution.
- Select cases to create a well-rounded, fellow-directed experience.
- Engage in intraoperative teaching for residents.
- Participate in the Multidisciplinary Skull Base Tumor Board.
- Utilize standardized curriculums for reading and learning opportunities.
The starting salary for this fellowship ranges from $90,000 to $104,000, based on experience and faculty rank. This figure represents the base compensation and does not include additional variable compensation or productivity bonuses, which are determined by departmental compensation plans. Detailed discussions regarding compensation will occur during the recruitment process.
