Job Title

Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (Level 3)

Location

New York, NY | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Expected 36 or 48 hours/week | Rotating Shifts (Days/Evenings/Nights) | Includes floating, weekends, holidays, on-call, callback, and charge duties per unit needs

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume, fast-paced Adult Emergency Department managing more than 100,000 visits annually
• Deliver nursing care to a diverse patient population within one of the busiest trauma centers in the region
• Assist with boarder patient management as needed
• Perform telemetry monitoring and interpretation as part of routine ED care
• Rotate across shifts including days, evenings, and nights, with availability for weekends, holidays, and on-call assignments

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State RN License (NY license required)
• Minimum of two (2) years of Emergency Department experience
• Telemetry experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience in an Emergency Room setting required
• BLS certification – American Heart Association only
• ACLS certification – American Heart Association only
• NIHSS certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a Level I trauma center environment
• Comfort with high patient volumes and complex, multi-acuity cases
• Experience functioning in a charge nurse capacity
