Shift: M-F 8am-5pm EST

We are seeking a high-impact, hands-on Senior Platform Engineer to design, evolve, and scale our cloud-native platform capabilities. In this role, you will partner closely with Product and Engineering leadership to shape solution approaches, reduce operational risk, and champion an automation-first culture. You will be the technical anchor for our Azure and Kubernetes ecosystems, directly improving the developer experience and ensuring our systems are secure, scalable, and highly reliable.

Key Responsibilities & Job Duties

• Strategic Collaboration: Partner with Product and Engineering leaders during discovery to assess technical feasibility, reduce delivery/operational risk, and shape robust solution approaches.
• Architecture & Evolution: Design and evolve cloud-native platform capabilities aligned to enterprise standards; skillfully make tradeoffs across reliability, security, performance, cost, and time-to-market.
• Automation & CI/CD: Build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and multi-environment release strategies.
• Infrastructure as Code: Implement IaC and environment management to standardize provisioning and aggressively reduce environment drift.
• Observability & SRE: Establish and improve observability (monitoring, logging, tracing, alerting) and operational practices using reliability metrics.
• Security & Compliance: Embed security best practices directly into pipelines and platforms (identity/access controls, secrets management, policy enforcement).
• Developer Experience (DevEx): Improve the developer experience by reducing manual friction, creating reusable templates/tooling, and automating operational workflows.
• Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership via design reviews, reference implementations, and hands-on delivery; actively reduce technical debt through simplification and refactoring.

qualifications:
Core Experience

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Experience: 8-12+ years of hands-on software, platform, or DevOps engineering experience.

Proven Impact: Demonstrated impact as a senior Individual Contributor (IC) delivering and operating complex, large-scale systems.

Leadership & Communication: Strong communication skills with a proven ability to explain complex technical tradeoffs and risks to both business and technical stakeholders.

Collaboration: Experience supporting product teams and embedding modern platform engineering practices.

Technical Deep Dive

Azure Cloud Engineering: Deep expertise across the Azure platform, including Azure networking, identity, Key Vault, API Management, compute, security, and cost optimization.

AKS & Kubernetes: Strong mastery of AKS/Kubernetes, including container operations, ingress, scaling, and workload patterns.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Proficiency with Terraform or Bicep for cloud provisioning and configuration management.

CI/CD Expertise: Hands-on design and implementation of CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.

Observability: Experience setting up App Insights, Log Analytics, custom dashboards, alerting, and SRE-focused practices.

Mindset: A secure-by-design, automation-first mindset.

Desired Skills & Experience (Bonus)

Experience with Salesforce-integrated delivery/deployment patterns and API/platform enablement.
