Projects rarely run smoothly just because there’s a plan. Deadlines shift, priorities change, and different people need to stay aligned. We’re looking for a Project Manager in Syracuse, NY to coordinate project activities, keep tasks moving, and help ensure work is completed according to agreed objectives and timelines.

This role would suit someone who is organized, comfortable communicating with different teams, and able to keep track of several moving parts at once. You’ll help turn project plans into practical actions, monitor progress, resolve day-to-day issues, and make sure important details don’t get overlooked.

Day to Day

• Coordinate project activities from initial planning through completion
• Develop and maintain project schedules, timelines, and task lists
• Assign and track responsibilities across team members
• Monitor progress against deadlines, milestones, and project objectives
• Communicate updates, priorities, and requirements to relevant stakeholders
• Organize project meetings and document key decisions and action items
• Identify potential delays, risks, and resource requirements
• Follow up on outstanding tasks and ensure responsibilities are clear
• Maintain project documentation, reports, and progress records
• Coordinate with internal departments to keep work moving efficiently
• Help resolve operational issues and escalate concerns when necessary
• Prepare status reports and provide regular updates to management
• Track project changes and communicate their impact on schedules or deliverables
• Review completed work against project requirements
• Identify opportunities to improve project coordination and working processes

What’s Important

You’ll need strong organizational skills, clear communication, and the ability to manage competing priorities without losing sight of deadlines. Good judgment, attention to detail, and a practical approach to problem-solving are also important.

Previous project management, project coordination, operations, administration, team leadership, or business support experience is beneficial. Experience managing project schedules, preparing reports, and coordinating multiple stakeholders will be an advantage.

We’re looking for someone who can take ownership of tasks, follow up consistently, adapt when priorities change, and work effectively with different people. Familiarity with project management tools, spreadsheets, and standard office software is helpful.
