Job Description

The Maintenance Technician role serves as an entry-level position within the maintenance department, designed to develop individuals with strong workmanship into fully capable Maintenance Technician professionals. In this position, you perform minor repairs, conduct preventive maintenance, and build a foundational understanding of machinery throughout the plant to support safe, efficient, and reliable production operations.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Diagnose and repair problems with auxiliary equipment such as thermolators, chillers, cooling towers, and related systems.
• Identify machine problems promptly to minimize equipment downtime and perform root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
• Read, understand, and apply mechanical and pneumatic schematics and diagrams to perform maintenance and repairs.
• Conduct preventive maintenance checks and inspections on assigned equipment according to established schedules and procedures.
• Operate the basic functions of major production equipment to support testing, troubleshooting, and verification of repairs.
• Organize and prioritize daily tasks effectively while handling multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.
• Work collaboratively in an empowered team environment, supporting colleagues and contributing to shared goals.
• Perform equipment failure analysis, troubleshoot issues, and diagnose equipment problems to determine appropriate corrective actions.
• Apply experience and working knowledge of injection molding machine processes to maintain and improve equipment performance.
• Repair broken parts and perform building repairs as needed to support overall plant operations.
• Assist with the installation of new equipment, including setup, alignment, and verification of proper operation.
• Apply advanced knowledge of OSHA safety rules and standards and consistently demonstrate safe work habits.
• Adhere to and help enforce high standards of safety and good manufacturing practices across all maintenance activities.
• Demonstrate continuous improvement methodologies in daily work and actively participate in departmental meetings and initiatives.
• Perform related duties as required to support the maintenance department and plant operations.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spartanburg, SC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $28.00/hr.
