Position Description: Job Summary
The Packaging Lead oversees daily operations within the packaging room to ensure all flower products are packaged in accordance with the quality standards of Sunburn Cannabis. This role is responsible for maintaining workflow efficiency, keeping the team on schedule, and ensuring all processes are executed accurately and consistently.

Job Functions
The Packaging Lead’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
•\tLead and oversee a team of packaging technicians to ensure daily production goals are met
•\tTrain employees on packaging procedures, quality standards, and SOPs
•\tMonitor employee performance and document individual throughput metrics
•\tIdentify areas for improvement and implement strategies to increase efficiency and productivity
•\tEnsure all packaging activities are completed in compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements
•\tOversee and maintain accurate data entry and inventory tracking within Biotrack
•\tMonitor equipment performance and report maintenance needs or issues promptly
•\tMaintain organization, cleanliness, and compliance within the packaging room
•\tEnsure proper use of materials, labeling accuracy, and packaging consistency
•\tCommunicate daily priorities, expectations, and updates to the team
•\tAssist in troubleshooting workflow or personnel issues to minimize downtime
•\tSupport leadership with reporting, process improvements, and operational planning

Basic Qualifications
•\tHigh school diploma or equivalent
•\tBasic math and data entry skills
•\tAbility to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks
•\tAbility to work in a production environment with adherence to safety protocols

Preferred Qualifications
•\tPrior experience in packaging, manufacturing, or cannabis production
•\tExperience in a leadership or lead role
•\tFamiliarity with cannabis compliance and regulatory standards
•\tExperience with seed-to-sale systems (e.g., Biotrack)
•\tStrong understanding of production workflows and efficiency metrics
