Barrio Bread is excited to be expanding it's operations in Gilbert, AZ. We will be expanding our commissary baking operations, and we plan to open a new retail location in Gilbert as well, very close to the commissary.

We are looking for foodservice pros with baking experience, who are interested in being ambassadors for our mission to to make nutritious, delicious and wholesome breads more accessible to our community. See more about us and our mission, at

Anyone who joins the team will be involved in all aspects...including production, logistics, operations, and customer service.

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Bread Baker to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in baking, with the ability to follow recipes, and meet our high standards for quality, and self-accountability. As a Lead Baker, you will play a crucial role in our operation, ensuring that all products are made fresh daily and presented beautifully for our customers.

Duties

• Prepare and bake a wide range of baked goods, including bread, pastries, cakes, and cookies.
• Follow recipes accurately to maintain consistency in quality and presentation.
• Ensure all food handling and safety regulations are adhered to during food preparation.
• Assist with special orders by preparing items as requested while meeting deadlines.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the bakery area, including proper storage of ingredients.
• Monitor inventory levels of baking supplies and communicate needs to management.
• Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers regarding their orders and preferences.

Skills

• Proficient in baking techniques and methods with a solid understanding of food production processes.
• Experience in the food industry, particularly in a bakery or kitchen.
• Strong food handling skills to ensure safe preparation practices.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with customers.
• Basic software and computer skills.
• A passion for both learning and teaching.
