Surgical Coordinator

Location: Great Neck, NY
Pay: $25-$30/hour, based on experience
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM


A growing plastic surgery practice in Great Neck is seeking an experienced Surgical Coordinator to join its team. The ideal candidate is organized, personable, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing the surgical scheduling process while providing an excellent patient experience.


Responsibilities

• Coordinate office-based and hospital surgeries, appointments, and follow-ups
• Serve as the primary point of contact for surgical patients
• Manage pre-operative paperwork, documentation, and patient instructions
• Work with authorization and billing teams on insurance eligibility and pre-authorizations
• Collect required patient information, paperwork, and payments
• Answer patient questions by phone and in person
• Coordinate with physicians, hospitals, and internal departments
• Maintain accurate patient records and follow HIPAA requirements
• Assist with other administrative duties as needed

Qualifications

• 3+ years of office-based surgical scheduling experience
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Excellent communication and phone skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced medical office
