The nurse applies broad nursing knowledge in a caring, concerned manner. Regular assessment of patient needs is essential. Skilled nursing services are provided as prescribed by the physician's authorized plan of care. Direct resident care includes medication administration, treatments, assisting with transfers, and responding to alarms. The effectiveness of the treatment plan is evaluated, and suggestions for updates are made in collaboration with team members. Processing physician orders and performing ordered care must be accurate, complete, and timely. Following up on medication changes and order clarifications is a key responsibility. Holiday and weekend shifts are required, with a minimum of three weekend shifts in a four-week schedule period.
