Join Ultrapure as a Senior Accountant in Lombard, IL, where you'll support accurate financial reporting, manage reconciliations, prepare journal entries, assist with audits and SOX compliance, and help strengthen accounting processes in a collaborative, growing organization.Key responsibilities:Prepare and record complex journal entries with minimal direction, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and Company accounting policiesPerform monthly, quarterly, and annual balance sheet reconciliations, independently creating reconciliations from inception and resolving reconciling items in a timely mannerEnsure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements, including maintaining documentation of internal controls, supporting control testing, and addressing audit findingsPartner with internal and external auditors to facilitate quarterly reviews and annual audits, including preparation of audit-ready workpapers and supporting documentationAnalyze financial results and provide detailed variance explanations for management reporting and disclosure purposesIdentify, document, and recommend enhancements to internal controls and accounting processesSupport the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reportingSkills / Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or FinanceCPA certification strongly preferredExperience performing balance sheet reconciliations within a publicly traded company environment or prior experience as an audit associate in a public accounting firmExperience supporting SOX compliance, including control documentation and audit supportStrong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal control frameworksDemonstrated ability to book journal entries accurately with minimal oversightProven ability to independently create and maintain detailed account reconciliationsAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systemsStrong analytical, organizational, and communication skillsPerks & Benefits You'll Enjoy:Competitive payHealth, dental, and vision insurancePaid holidays and a generous PTO plan401(k) with a great company matchEducation assistance to help you growCompany-provided uniformsEmployee and customer referral bonuses4.5-day work week — off every Friday at noon!
