Located near Short Pump, our multidisciplinary treatment team provides tailored treatment plans designed to meet the unique needs of each client.What We Offer401K with Company MatchEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)How You Will Make a Difference:The Dietary Care Specialists Prepare meals and snacks for clients in accordance with ASTER SPRINGS Dietary Formulary and regulatory bodies.Demonstrate a desire and willingness to embrace and model the ASTER SPRINGS mission within your job responsibilities and interaction with others.Position Responsibilities:Prepare meals for clients/appropriate staff according to ASTER SPRINGS menusPrepare snacks/shakes according to ASTER SPRINGS guidelines/menusResponsible to rotate stored food by dateFollow Dietary cleaning schedule and document as completed in Dietary cleaning logProvide emotional support and encouragement to clients as neededPurchase groceries as neededResponsible for kitchen/dining room clean up after mealsWork with RCS on meal documentation and clean up after mealsCoordinate with Dietitian on kitchen supply needsSchedule shopping needs to accommodate meal/responsibility scheduleCollaborate with Dietitian any needed changes/issues with menus/meal prepAble to communicate required cooking, defrosting, cleaning, and storage guidelines to accrediting bodies during inspectionsAble to disinfect back stock/storage areas per dietary cleaning guidelinesRecord all refrigerator/freezer temperatures per dayCommunicate any equipment failure to Dietitian and Executive DirectorEnsure meal delivery/snack/shake delivery follows program scheduleRecord date on all left-over items and move to appropriate storage areaEnsure all items in all refrigerated storage areas are less than one week old/discard when olderISJP123Education and Experience:Bachelor’s preferredCurrent CPR and First Aid certification or the ability to obtain within the first 30 days of hire.Meal preparation in like setting preferredContinued education courses in dietetics and/or psychology or social work preferredValid Driver’s LicenseAster Springs provides equal employment opportunities without regard to race, color, creed, ancestry, national origin, ethnicity, sex, gender, sexual orientation, marital status, religion, age, disability, gender identity, genetic information, service in the military, or any other characteristic protected under applicable federal, state, or local law.
