Performance Engineer Intern - Summer 2027

Responsibilities
- Perform quantitative research on large datasets to analyze exchange technology.
- Design strategies to optimize liquidity taking and quoting strategies for exchange microstructure.
- Develop AI agents, ETL pipelines, and algorithms in Python for ultra-low-latency trading optimization.
- Reverse-engineer and stress-test network and systems programming technologies.
- Collaborate with traders and hardware and software engineers to implement ideas.
Requirements
- Be a current university student graduating between September 2027 and July 2028 while pursuing Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technology degree.
- Demonstrate proficiency in at least one programming language.
- Have exceptional quantitative and analytical skills.
- Demonstrate strong communication and collaboration skills and an interest in working across trading and engineering teams.
- Interest in financial markets is required, but prior knowledge is not required.
- Experience with statistical modeling, machine learning, or network technology is a plus.
- Be available to start the internship on June 7, 2027.
