Job Title: RN - CVOR Profession: RN Specialty: CVOR Duration: 12 Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years of CVOR experience required License: RN Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Strong CVOR experience Ability to work independently with minimal guidance Cardiac experience (Adult required, Pediatric preferred) Vascular and Thoracic experience (Robotic experience preferred) Hybrid OR experience preferred Epic experience preferred Description: The RN specializes in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR). This role encompasses adult and pediatric cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgery. The facility has more than 900 licensed beds and a Level 1 Trauma designation. It is also a teaching hospital. The department supports a variety of surgical procedures. The candidate will collaborate with clinical supervisors and an anesthesia team. There will be opportunities for support from experienced peers. The position may involve floating to CVOR if necessary. Weekend rotation may be required but will depend on call schedules. On-call duties are expected to be once per week, with additional weekend duties every six weeks. The work environment fosters a positive unit culture. Personal scrubs are to be worn to and from the hospital; hospital-issued scrubs are provided in the OR. Call back time is within one hour. Holiday work may be required if scheduled during contract periods. Request for time off requires manager approval.
