Quality Control Lab Technician - $20/ph

Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Lab Technician for a full-time, Monday through Friday role. This position involves performing critical chemical and physical testing on raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure they meet strict quality specifications. The ideal candidate will maintain a safe, clean laboratory environment and provide accurate documentation of all analytical results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analytical Testing: Conduct analysis on incoming raw materials and finished products using techniques such as acid-base/redox titrations, particle size analysis, gravimetric analysis, and melt point testing.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Maintain precise records of all analyses in laboratory notebooks or electronic systems in accordance with GLP/GMP standards.
  • Quality Assurance: Compare test results against established purchase and release specifications to determine material status (approved, quarantined, or rejected).
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily calibration and maintenance of laboratory instruments, including balances, pH meters, and refractometers.
  • Inventory & Preparation: Prepare and standardize laboratory reagents and ensure all analytical glassware is clean and defect-free.
  • Safety & Investigation: Report and investigate non-conforming material results (OOS) and follow all safety and environmental policies, including the use of PPE.
  • Operational Support: Verify the operability of safety devices on the production floor, such as metal detection equipment.
Requirements & Qualifications
  • Education: AAS degree in Chemistry is preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of one year of experience in analytical chemistry, with three years in an analytical or process laboratory environment preferred.
  • Skills: Proficiency in error recognition, precision analysis, and the operation of standard lab equipment like burettes and microscopes.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, perform repetitive motions, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
