US Foot & Ankle Specialists (USFAS)
US Foot & Ankle Specialists is looking for a Medical Assistant to join our growing podiatry practice. If you enjoy working directly with patients, supporting physicians, and being part of a team, we'd love to meet you! You’ll work alongside our podiatrists providing hands‑on patient care in a professional, fast‑paced outpatient setting. Hands‑on training and ongoing clinical training are provided, making this a great opportunity for an experienced Medical Assistant or someone looking to grow their clinical skills. Medical Assistant Essential Functions/Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned): Welcome, room, and prepare patients for exams and in‑office procedures Take vitals, update medical histories, record medications/allergies, and document in the EMR Assist physicians with minor procedures, post‑op care, digital X‑rays, and basic podiatric services (nail care, callus removal, diabetic shoe fitting) Apply dressings, DME, and provide patient instructions and education Manage lab specimens, complete insurance verifications and pre‑authorizations, and process prescriptions as directed Make post‑operative phone calls, answer patient questions, and provide excellent customer service Open, prep, clean, and close exam rooms; sterilize instruments; manage inventory and supplies Maintain accurate documentation, support back‑office operations, and ensure HIPAA compliance Medical Assistant Required Skills and Experience: High School Diploma or GED required Completion of a Medical Assistant program OR 1+ year of clinical experience CMA or RMA certification preferred Experience with medical terminology and insurance processes (preferred) Strong communication, teamwork, and multitasking skills Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced clinic environment Detail‑oriented, professional, and patient‑focused Ability to travel between local office locations, as needed Proficient with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) Benefits Offered: Health Insurance (Single & Family plans available) Life Insurance Disability Insurance 401(k) plan with Company Match Employee Discount Program Paid Time Off Paid Holidays Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here represent those required to perform essential job functions.
