Packer - 2nd shift

Responsibilities Inspect equipment at the beginning of each shift and audit that all safety devices and emergency switches are operational. Read work orders, execute written and verbal instructions, and record production data. Inspect 100% of work pieces for cosmetic appearance and obvious non‑conformities. Assemble parts or wrap work pieces in appropriate packing materials. Use tools such as a tape measure, height gauge, caliper, or square to verify against specifications. Maintain cleanliness of the work area and perform general housekeeping of the department. Ensure the quality of parts before forwarding them to the next operation. Actively participate in all company health and safety training programs and comply with all policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED). Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. General computer knowledge. Physical Demands Frequent mental and visual attention with intermittent checks. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Performing the duties of this position requires use of hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand, occasionally walk, sit, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. The employee must be able to work in a hot environment. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Work Environment While performing the essential functions, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is exposed to airborne particles and chemicals.
