About the Role

The Company is in need of an Interim Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to provide immediate and hands-on financial leadership during a critical period. The successful candidate will be highly focused on audit preparation, federal grant accounting, and strengthening overall financial oversight. This role is pivotal in ensuring the organization is fully prepared for upcoming audit and compliance requirements, and the ideal candidate will have a strong nonprofit finance background, extensive experience with audits, and expertise in federal and grant accounting and reporting. Key responsibilities for the Interim CFO include leading all financial preparation for audits, serving as the primary liaison with external auditors, and overseeing federal grant accounting and financial reporting to ensure compliance with grant requirements and regulatory standards. The role also involves strengthening internal controls, assisting with budget development, providing financial insights and analysis to leadership, and acting as a strategic advisor to executive management. The preferred qualifications for this position include prior experience at the CFO level, a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, and a CPA is strongly preferred. The Interim CFO will be expected to make an immediate impact, bring structure, and ensure continuity and stability as the senior financial leader.
