Technical Sourcing Engineering - Biologics/Biochem/Chemistry

Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a technical sourcing engineering professional to lead projects involving process optimization, raw material sourcing, and supplier management for chemical and biological commodities. The role requires cross-functional collaboration, technical expertise, and strong project management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead or contribute to sourcing, insourcing, and outsourcing projects for raw materials and finished goods
• Manage cross-functional teams, facilitate communication, and ensure stakeholder alignment on project deliverables and timelines
• Conduct statistical analysis, root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions for manufacturing processes
• Design and implement control systems and validation plans to ensure product quality and equivalency
• Establish and maintain supplier relationships for reliable material sourcing across Americas and EMEA regions

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED with 15+ years relevant experience, or bachelor's degree in science/engineering with 7+ years experience
• Experience in new product development, material sourcing, supplier qualification, and manufacturing processes
• Knowledge of microbiology, chemistry, molecular biology, or cell biology preferred
• Understanding of quality systems, ISO regulations, cGMP, and regulatory compliance
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to work across all organizational levels
• Cross-functional project team leadership and supplier relationship management experience
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and multi-tasking in flexible environments
