Surgical Technologist

Location UCHealth Greeley Hospital, Greeley, CO, US Department GH Operating Room Work Schedule Full Time, 72 hours per pay period (2 weeks) Shift Nights Pay $27.61 - $41.41 per hour, dependent on relevant experience Summary Facilitates the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures. Responsibilities Ensures good working order of equipment and instruments. Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients. Passe instruments to physician during surgery. Continually accounts for number and location of instruments and supplies during surgery. Receives and processes specimens for delivery to the laboratory. Applies critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Works in a fast‑paced environment and takes appropriate action. Requirements Minimum Education: High School diploma, GED, or Military training. Licensure/Certification: State Surgical Assistant or Surgical Technologist registration; Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider. Minimum Experience: 6 months Surgical Tech experience or graduate of an accredited Surgical Tech program. BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in hand before start date; BLS or CPR card must be valid within sixty days of hire.
