Sleep Technician

Located in Franklin Township, New Jersey 08873 The Sleep Technician provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders under the general supervision of the Manager, and in collaboration with the Medical Director or designee.

The duties include, but are not limited to:

• Collecting, analyzing, and integrating patient information in order to identify and meet the patient-specific needs and to determine final testing parameters/procedures in conjunction with the ordering physician or clinical director and laboratory protocols
• Performing Polysomnographic Procedures under the direction of the ordering physician
• Performing miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications or Education, Training and Experience:

• Successful completion of a one-year polysomnography program, associated with a State licensed and/or nationally accredited educational facility; or a minimum of six months experience as a Polysomnographic Technician with documented proficiencies
• Professional Certification by Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) as Registered Polysomnographic Technologist or equivalent

BLS certification, as recognized by American Heart Association is required

Examples of Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk and use hands and arms to operate general office equipment (PC, telephone, file cabinets, copier, postage meter, fax machine and printer). The employee may occasionally lift and/or move between 10 and 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. The employee may need to travel to healthcare practices.
