Snelling has immediate openings for CNC Plasma Operator for a well-established company in the Irondale area. $20.00-26.00/hr depending on experience. This is a 2rd shift opportunity!
Essential Duties/Responsibilities for CNC Plasma Operator:
- Loading & unloading table, operation of CNC
- Plasma, daily routine checkups on the machine.
- Checking programs for proper dimensions against Blueprints.
- Writing up plates and drops, placing material in proper Stations.
- Housekeeping on the CNC plasma and around it.
- Operation of Overhead Cranes & Forklifts.
- Loading and unloading plate trucks, briefing with relieving shifts, ability to follow
- instructions, ability to solve problems, ability to work unsupervised.
Preferred Skills of CNC Plasma Operator:
- Candidates should have 1yr min CNC Plasma experience (Or Related Field)
- Ability to read and interpret tape measure and fabrication blueprints
- Ability to use measuring tools such as tape measure, box caliper, slide dial caliper, and micrometer.
- Ability to convert fractions to decimals and vice versa, add and subtract in fractions and decimals.
- Must have knowledge of Overhead Crane & Forklift Operation
