Job Summary: Registered Nurse (RN) Medical-Surgical Floor / Ortho-Spine Smyrna, Tennessee
The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide direct nursing care to medical-surgical patients with an emphasis on orthopedic and spine services within a busy inpatient unit. Responsibilities include thorough patient assessment, prioritization of care, and application of critical thinking to support safe, timely interventions. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; Basic Life Support (BLS); at least 1 year of RN experience; at least 1 year of Medical-Surgical (M/S) experience; ability to quickly learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Preferred Qualifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (preferred/optional as indicated in the posting).
• Additional Information: Patient care responsibilities cover general Medical-Surgical procedures and patient population, including orthopedic and spine patients, stable traumas, trauma-related medical hold needs, and additional specialty care scenarios as applicable. Common clinical needs may include post-catheterizations without intervention, laparoscopic procedures such as appendectomy/cholecystectomy, thoracentesis/paracentesis, and other procedures performed by interventional radiology; the role may also support care related to hemodialysis/peritoneal dialysis, continuous bladder irrigation (CBI), wound care needs, and use of specialty bedside equipment and monitoring devices. At least one weekend shift within a 4-week period is required (scheduling may be split by case).
