Python Engineer (Snowflake)- 2 Days Onsite - Chicago, IL - FreeWheel

Job Summary FreeWheel, a Comcast company, is seeking a Python Software Engineer for its Buyercloud Ad Serving team. The role focuses on building and maintaining the core service that listens to billions of ad auctions daily, selects participating customers, and executes bidding strategies in milliseconds. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines for both real-time and batch processing. Build and enhance backend systems and APIs that integrate with analytics platforms. Create automation tools and monitoring solutions to support troubleshooting and operational efficiency. Ensure data quality, reliability, and system performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into robust technical solutions. Optimize code and workflows for performance and maintainability. Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including code reviews, testing, deployment, and ongoing support. Document systems, processes, and best practices. Preferred Requirements Minimum 3+ years of professional software engineering experience. Proficiency in Python with strong programming and debugging skills. Experience with Snowflake, designing and maintaining data pipelines and ETL workflows. Familiarity with distributed systems, relational databases, and NoSQL technologies. Skilled in using monitoring and automation tools. Comfortable with CI/CD pipelines and containerization tools. Ad Tech and/or AI experience is a plus. Work Conditions The candidate must work well with team members across multiple remote locations and time zones. Flexible working hours, including nights and weekends, may be required.
