The selected candidate must have the ability to obtain a government clearance and must have good knowledge and understanding of welding applications.ResponsibilitiesPerform different weld methods based on project requirementsRead and interpret project plans, blueprints and other written instructions and diagrams to perform task at hand.Creating fixturing for production welding environmentsPossession of current AWS D17.1 certification (aluminum, carbon steel, or stainless steel)Key QualificationsAbility to obtain Secret ClearanceHigh School Diploma/GED and 1+ Year of experience as a commercial/ aerospace welder. Current and valid certification(s) a plus.AutoCAD for schematics and drawingsOrCAD (preferred) or similar EDA tools (e.g., Altium) for PCB developmentGood knowledge & understanding of heat applications, heat absorbents during welding operations to prevent warpages of parts.General knowledge of shop practices including layout, drilling, sawing, grinding, etc.Ability to lift up to 75 lbs on a daily basis.Must wear approved PPE (personal protective equipment).Must be able to work overtime, weekends, and other shifts as required$21.99 - $30.53 an hour There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications.
