About the Role:

As a Dietary Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting our dietary team in preparing and serving meals to our residents. Your duties will include:

• Assisting with meal preparation, including setting tables, serving food, and cleaning up after meals
• Maintaining a clean and safe environment in the kitchen and dining areas
• Assisting with inventory management and ordering supplies
• Collaborating with our dietary team to ensure smooth meal service operations
• Providing exceptional customer service to our residents and their families

Responsibilities:

• Assist with food preparation, including cooking, plating, and garnishing dishes
• Ensure compliance with dietary restrictions and special requests
• Maintain accurate records of food inventory and meal service
• Participate in menu planning and food ordering
• Assist with cleaning and sanitizing the kitchen and dining areas
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless meal service operations

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a food service or healthcare environment (0-6 months of experience preferred)
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
