Overview Dialysis Registered Nurse (RN) is sought to join our team in Columbia, Missouri. This role provides comprehensive care to patients undergoing dialysis treatment with a focus on patient safety, comfort, and education. The assignment is a 13-week contract with 12-hour day shifts. Responsibilities Assess patients' condition before, during, and after dialysis treatments. Administer medications and monitor patients for adverse reactions. Initiate, monitor, and terminate dialysis treatments according to established protocols. Monitor vital signs and adjust treatment parameters as needed. Document patient care accurately and completely. Educate patients and families on dialysis procedures and home care. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans. Respond to emergency situations and initiate appropriate interventions. Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff. Qualifications Required Qualifications Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri. Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Dialysis RN. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Preferred Qualifications Certification in Nephrology Nursing (CNN) or Certified Dialysis Nurse (CDN). Experience with various dialysis machines and water treatment systems. Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems. Proficiency in cannulation techniques and dialysis equipment operation. Knowledge of dialysis principles and ability to respond to medical emergencies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
