Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking experienced RN - L&D professionals for 13-week travel assignments at a high-performing hospital. Candidates will provide essential labor, delivery, and postpartum care within a dynamic maternity unit.

Responsibilities:

• Provide labor, delivery, recovery, and triage nursing care to patients in the maternity unit.
• Monitor fetal heart rates and vital signs using intermediate fetal heart monitoring techniques.
• Assist with procedures including C-section circulations, antepartum care, and newborn care within the first hour after birth.
• Educate and support patients on breastfeeding and postpartum recovery.
• Adhere to unit policies, including infection control, patient safety, and documentation standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including hospitalists, midwives, and neonatologists, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Current intermediate fetal heart monitoring certification within the past two years.
• Valid RN license with L&D experience.
• BLS and NRP certifications are required.
• Experience working in high-volume facilities with over 3,000 births annually highly preferred.
• Demonstrate cultural competence and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to maintain composure in fast-paced, diverse environment.
