The opportunity

As a Solutions Consultant, you'll sit at the intersection of Sales, Product, Engineering, Implementation, Partnerships and Customers. Your job is to prove that Stream is the right fit - commercially, technically and operationally - and that what we sell can actually be delivered.

You'll combine product expertise, technical discovery and commercial judgment to remove friction, manage risk and help us win the right deals, for the right reasons.

What will you be doing?

• Lead technical discovery across HR, Payroll, Benefits and IT systems - mapping data flows, requirements, dependencies and edge cases.
• Design solutions that hold up under scrutiny, translating discovery into a credible, deliverable plan.
• Build stakeholder confidence through demos and presentations that make integrations, our data model, Flow of Funds, settlement models, security and technical architecture easy to understand.
• Decision making under ambiguity - working through custom requirements, stress-testing assumptions and recommending a path based on risk, trade-offs and customer outcomes.
• Connect the technical to the commercial - explaining how Stream fits a customer's payroll and technology ecosystem, where we differentiate, and why your recommended approach is the right one.
• Orchestrate the deal end-to-end - coordinating customers, partners and internal teams from pre-sales through implementation, supporting enterprise due diligence, and keeping decisions, assumptions and risks clearly documented.
• Level up the Solutions function - building reusable frameworks, sharpening partner knowledge, and documenting what you learn so the whole team gets better.

What experience might you have? (But if you're close we'd still love to talk to you!)

• You've likely worked in Solutions Consulting, Sales Engineering, Technical Consulting, Implementation, or a similarly technical, customer-facing role.
• You turn ambiguous problems into structure, fast.
• You ask why before you reach for how.
• You can pick apart an unfamiliar system and reason through its dependencies, risks and trade-offs.
• You explain complex ideas simply - out loud, on a whiteboard, and in writing.
• You pair technical curiosity with commercial judgment - you care about getting the architecture right and getting the deal right.
• You'll push back on a customer or a colleague when it's the right call to make, and you do it constructively.
• You know the difference between technical depth that de-risks a deal and technical depth that just slows it down.
• You default to sharing what you know, not hoarding it.

Salary: From $100,000-$125,000 base + Bonus, Equity & Benefits

Location: We operate a hybrid working policy; 3 days a week from our New York office.
