The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing mechanical and plumbing projects from initiation to completion. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems, with a proven ability to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards. What You’ll Do: Project Development: Develop comprehensive plans that include scope, timeline, budget, and resources, ensuring alignment with both client requirements and company objectives. Lead and manage cross-functional teams of engineers, technicians, and subcontractors, promoting collaboration and clear communication. Oversee the budget, monitor project expenses, and implement cost control measures to ensure projects stay within the financial targets. Forecast project revenue. Project Schedules: Create and manage project schedules. Identify critical path tasks and adjust as necessary to ensure timely project completion. Lead turnover to production. Quality Assurance: Ensure all work meets industry standards and regulatory requirements. Conduct regular inspections and quality control measures to maintain high standards. Risk Management: Identify potential risks to project timelines, costs, and quality. Develop mitigation strategies to keep projects on track. Client Interaction: Serve as the primary point of contact with clients to provide updates and address concerns while managing client expectations. Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation for all phases of a project including contracts, change orders, meeting minutes, and progress reports. Report project status to management and other stakeholders regularly. Build submittal logs. Build schedule of values for billing. Write all RFIs. Price all change orders and maintain change over logs in Sage. Make adjustments in accounting software as project progresses. Qualifications & What You’ll Bring: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Equivalent work experience will be considered. 5-8 years of project management experience in the construction industry is required. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems, as well as proficiency in project management software. Fluent English verbal and written skills are required. Driving Requirements: Must have a valid Virginia driver’s license. Must have positive points on state driving record. Must be at least 21 years of age unless company approval is granted. Must not have had a DUI, DWI, or reckless driving conviction in the last five years. All driving records are run as part of our pre-employment process and reviewed at the discretion of the Safety Team. Physical Requirements: Must be able to crawl, kneel, squat, and climb. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, unassisted. Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
