We serve patients from birth to 21 years of age.Part Time: 2 11-12 hour shiftsFull Time: 3 11-12 hour shiftsLocum PRN moonlighting opportunities are availableWe offer a fully staffed scribe departmentWe offer ISMIE Malpractice InsuranceJob ResponsibilitiesIdentify changes in a child's signs and symptoms and intervene in emergent situationsDifferentiate between normal and abnormal physical findingsEngage patients and their families in conversation to determine types and extent of illnessesCreate and implement individualized plans of nursing care to meet each patient's specific requirementsDocuments all patient care activitiesOrder and follow up on medical tests such as blood work, x rays and other scansDiagnose and treat a wide array of acute, chronic and critical illnesses by effectively interpreting test resultsEducate patients and their familiesAct as a point of contact for responding to questions and concerns regarding treatments and illnessesParticipates in community and clinic education programsMaintains current credentialing, license and board certificationAdminister medication using age-appropriate guidelinesEvaluate a child for signs and symptoms of abuseMaintains privacy of patientsAssists in supervision of health professional studentsDemonstrates integrity, care, and compassion when working with patients/families and staffPerforms other duties assigned by Employer from time to time that are commensurate with professional services normally and customarily performed by a physicianRequirementsIllinois Nurse Practitioner LicenseCertified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (Preferred)1+ years of pediatric experience as a nurse practitionerUrgent Care experience is a PLUSExperience with high patient volume is a PLUSWeekend availabilityBenefits (Full Time Only)UHC (Medical, Dental, Vision)Aflac (Critical Illness, Accident, Hospital, Short Term Disability, Life Insurance)PTOCME Reimbursement401k (Pre Tax, Post Tax)Gym Membership
