Private Elementary School Teacher – 1st & 2nd Grade

United Staffing Solutions, a leader in the staffing industry, is seeking experienced and dedicated Elementary School Teachers for two direct-hire opportunities with a well-established private Jewish school in Fresh Meadows, Queens. The school offers a nurturing learning environment, small class sizes, and a beautiful new facility.

We are seeking one 1st Grade Teacher and one 2nd Grade Teacher with strong literacy instruction skills, excellent classroom management abilities, and a passion for elementary education.

Salary: $60,000–$90,000 annually, depending on experience
Location: Fresh Meadows, Queens, NY
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 8:10 AM–4:10 PM; Fridays with 1:00 PM student dismissal

• Two daily preparation periods and a lunch break
• Faculty meetings approximately 1–2 times per month, occasionally extending to 5:00 PM

Employment Type: Direct Hire, Permanent
School Year: 10-month position, with optional Summer Camp employment available.

Calendar: School observes all Jewish holidays and some overlap with BOE calendar

Responsibilities for the Elementary School Teacher:

• Developing and implementing engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans
• Delivering effective literacy instruction to support reading and writing development
• Creating a positive, structured, and nurturing classroom environment
• Managing classroom behavior and promoting student engagement
• Assessing student progress and adapting instruction to meet individual learning needs
• Building strong relationships with students, parents, and school staff
• Participating in faculty meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and school activities

Requirements for the Elementary School Teacher:

• Valid New York State teaching certification in Elementary/Childhood Education
• At least 3 years of classroom teaching experience at the elementary level
• Previous teaching experience with 1st and/or 2nd grade students
• Strong background in literacy instruction, including early reading and writing development
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• Ability to create engaging lessons and support diverse learning needs
• Passion for elementary education and fostering student growth
