Data Center Construction Manager

Job Title: Construction Manager - Data Center Duration: 12 Months (potential for extension) Location: New Albany, Ohio Overvie wThe Construction Manager – Lease will serve as the Owner's Representativ e for leased and colocation (Colo) data center construction projects. This role is responsible for overseeing landlord and developer-delivered construction from groundbreaking through facility acceptance, ensuring projects are delivered in accordance with technical specifications, schedule, quality standards, and contractual obligations

• The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing mission-critical or data center construction project s, a strong understanding of electrical and mechanical (MEP) system s, and the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders while driving projects to successful completion in a fast-paced environment

Key Responsibiliti esAct as the Owner's Representative for leased and build-to-suit data center construction project s.Manage landlord and developer obligations from groundbreaking through certificate of occupancy and facility acceptanc e.Review civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing drawings to ensure compliance with project standard s.Monitor construction progress, schedule, quality, and safety through regular site visit s.Coordinate tenant improvement activities, including white space fit-outs, power distribution, cooling infrastructure, and network cablin g.Manage project schedules, budgets, change orders, risks, and milestone deliverables across multiple concurrent project s.Lead Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Integrated Systems Testing (IST), commissioning activities, and construction milestone review s.Identify and resolve construction risks, schedule delays, and quality issues by working closely with landlords, developers, contractors, and project team s.Coordinate with Real Estate, Design, Engineering, Commissioning, Operations, and Legal teams throughout the project lifecycl e.Ensure lease obligations, work letters, punch lists, and substantial completion milestones are successfully achieve d.Support continuous improvement of leased data center construction standards, processes, and vendor management practice s-Required Qualificatio ns10+ years of Construction Management experienc e.Experience managin g mission-critical, data center, industrial, or large-scale infrastructure construction projec t s.Strong understanding o f electrical and mechanical (MEP) syste m s.Experience managing construction schedules, budgets, contracts, change orders, and project risk s.Knowledge of construction methods, building codes, fire protection, and safety standard s.Experience usin g Primavera P6 for construction schedulin g.Proficiency wit h Bluebe am an d Google Workspa c e.Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skill s.Preferred Qualificatio nsBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experienc e.Experience i n Lease Construction, Colocation (Colo), Build-to-Suit (BTS), or Owner's Representati ve role s.Experience reviewing lease agreements, amendments, and work letter s.Experience wit h Procore, BIM 360, MS Vis io, and Google Clou d.Experience managing multiple concurrent mission-critical construction project s.Knowledge of connectivity cabling and data center infrastructur e.LEED, WELL, TRUE, SITES, or similar building accreditation s.Experience leveraging AI tools to improve construction workflows and project efficienc y.Preferred Industry Experien ceData Cente rsMission Critical Constructi onColocation (Col S)Critical Infrastructu rsIdeal Candidate Profi leThe ideal candidate has experience representing th e owner/client si de of large-scale construction projects and working closely with landlords, developers, general contractors, and consultants.
