About the Role:
As a Physical Therapy Assistant at Astoria Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation, you will play a vital role in our mission to provide individualized, compassionate, and innovative healthcare services. Our rehab-recovery suites are designed to provide a comfortable stay, equipped with a bathroom, flat screen TV, phone, and Wi-Fi. You will work under the supervision of a physical therapist to develop and implement treatment plans for our guests, focusing on individually tailored rehabilitation programs to help them achieve maximum independence and mobility.
Responsibilities:
Assist physical therapists in the development and implementation of treatment plans
Conduct physical therapy treatments, including exercises, modalities, and manual therapy techniques
Monitor and record patient progress and changes in condition
Participate in patient education and discharge planning
Maintain accurate and detailed records of treatments and patient progress
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care
Maintain a safe and clean environment for guests and staff
Requirements:
