This position is for a hands-on Field Service Technician who will support Rivian vehicle repairs. The role requires a collaborative, team-oriented individual capable of working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. While the role is based in a primary location, it may require operating remotely or traveling to various locations, including the production plant, to provide vehicle support as business needs demand.

Responsibilities include performing or assisting with assigned vehicle diagnosis, repairs, installations, and inspections, whether at a service center or in the field directly at customer homes, businesses, or other convenient locations. Identify and explain the Rivian product line, EV framework, tools, and accessories. Utilize available technical resources to follow Rivian repair procedures efficiently without compromising quality or safety. Conduct road tests to ensure the quality of repairs. Manage necessary parts operations, including ordering, receiving, shipping, and inventory. Identify areas of improvement and provide feedback to senior technicians or leadership. Support service campaigns and containment initiatives. Ensure that all work and technical notes are properly documented for internal and external use. Work collaboratively with a team spirit and maintain high-quality work with minimal supervision. Communicate with a high level of professionalism in customer-facing situations. Stay current with technical skills and complete required training.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, GED, or other recognized high school equivalency credential. Proficient in using hand tools and power tools. Must be at least 21 years old. Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record, with no driving-related suspensions or revocations within a 3-5 year period. Ability to drive a non-commercial truck and trailer is preferred. Must be available for a 40-hour work week, which may include weekends, holidays, and shifts during early morning, evening, or overnight hours based on business needs. Proficient with laptops or computers in Windows or Mac environments. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and an eagerness to learn. Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs., sitting, standing, walking, and frequent use of hands for grasping tools and data entry. Ability to read and speak fluent English. Ability to see, read and interpret documents such as governmental regulations, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions or schematics.

Experience includes hands-on work experience in an automotive shop. This role is open to various levels of experience, from entry-level to career technicians. A background in electric vehicle (EV) or hybrid repair is considered a plus. Experience in start-up environments is preferred. Experience with parts departments, billing, and work order management systems is preferred.

Spectrum of technical skills includes low voltage & electrical systems, high voltage systems, chassis, brakes & suspension, thermal systems, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), and body & glass.

Pay disclosure is $25.88 to $38.10 per hour for Connecticut based applicants. The successful candidate may be eligible for annual performance bonus.
